300 year old preserved piece of the Dyer III ice core, drilled in 1991 on the antarctic peninsula. The base is formed by a stone from the Kottas Mountains (Antarctica) with a symbolized drilling down to bedrock, by use of a gear wheel from a PistenBully from Neumayer III Station.

300 Jahre alte, konservierte Scheibe aus dem Dyer III Eiskern, gebohrt 1991 auf der antarktischen Halbinsel. Den Grundstock bildet ein Stein aus den Kottas Bergen (Antarktis). Das Zahnrad stammt aus einem PistenBully der Neumayer III Station und symbolisiert die Bohrung zum Felsbett.
